Module Aim
To equip the students with knowledge, and skills that will enable them to manage patients with different cardiopulmonary conditions.
Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module, the student should be able to:
a. Identify precautions and contraindications associated with cardiac surgery and rehabilitation;
b. Describe the basic concepts in cardiac surgery;
c. Conducting pre- and post-operative physiotherapy management for patients with cardio-respiratory conditions and those undergoing cardiac surgery and rehabilitation.
