This module will help the students understand the History in the
development of antibiotics, some terminologies associated with the use of
antimicrobial agents, classes of antimicrobial drugs and their mechanisms of
action. Students will also be taught in details the antibiotics that are used
for common occurring infections such as tuberculosis, malaria and HIV and AIDS.
Methods of antibiotic sensitivity testing will also be discussed
