1. Once you submit your examiners will have six weeks to grade your dissertation.
  2. When you receive feedback from your examiners you will be required to address the comments and write a report. A template for this will be provided.
  3. After the examiner (internal) has approved the corrections, you are to send your dissertation for proofreading and formatting to the library. You will be required to pay an MWK10,000 fee. The library will provide the account details.
  4. Please that the manuscript (published or publishable - should be included in the bound dissertation.
  5. When drafting your manuscripts, you must conform to the Malawi Medical Journal guidelines for article submission (visit www.mmj.mw). This is particularly relevant for those who have not yet been published by the time they are submitting their dissertation.
  6. Once the library approves your dissertation, they will send you a memo of approval, and you will need to submit this document to me.
  7. The program coordinator will give the go-ahead for students to seek the services of a binder.
  8. Students must hand, into the department, four bound copies of their thesis and one copy in a CD format.
